EFFECT OF PEER SUPPORT GROUP DECREASE IN DEALING WITH STRESS ON NATIONAL EXAM

Stress is a reality of daily life - days experienced by everyone ranging from children -children and adults can experience it all; no exception will also be experienced by students in junior Darul Mustafa Burneh Bangkalan. The requisition achievement, activities with her lessons and also demands graduation is one a small part in the natural stressors. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of peer group support to decrease stress in the face of national exam in class IX in junior high school Darul Mustafa Burneh Bangkalan. This study used a pre-experimental research design in one group (one group pre-test-post-test). Sample of 30 students are using simple random sampling technique. From the research on the characteristics of the respondents can be that 30 students, based on the level of stress prior to the intervention were mild stress 3 students (10.0%), stress is as much as 22 (73.3%), severe stress as much as 5 students (16.7%) and stress after intervention, mild stress were 17 students (56.7%), stress are as many as 13 (43.3%). From the results of this research can increase knowledge and alleviation of stress by creating a positive habit to avoid a dramatically change.
