EFFECT OF STIMULATION THERAPY GROUP ACTIVITIES PLAYING WITH SNAKES LADDERS PERCEPTION OF DECREASE FREQUENCY OF HALLUCINATIONS IN SCHIZOPHRENIC PATIENTS

Objective:  Mental  patients  with  schizophrenia  cases  are  always  followed  with  impaired

sensory perception hallucinations. Patients with hallucinations if not handled properly will be bad for their own clients, family, others, and the environment, even to commit acts of violence because hallucinations.Oleh therefore necessary therapy can reduce the effects of the hallucinogenic activity therapy group with perceptual stimulation packaged with a more attractive so as to stimulate the patient in learning to deal with his hallucinations in the form of a snake ladders. The purpose of this study is to investigate the implementation of perceptual stimulation therapy group activities with media snakes and ladders to decrease the frequency of hallucinations in schizophrenic patients in the Psychiatric Hospital MenurGlatik Surabaya.

Methods: The research design used in this study was pre-experimental Design One Group Pre Test Design. Population studied were 24 respondents drawn with total random sampling techniques so that the total population of all be taken in the study sample. Statistical analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test with α < 0.05.

Results: The results showed no decrease in the frequency of hallucinations. From most of the patients were 16 people (67 %) with a frequency of 4 times the hallucinations become mostly down as many as 15 people (62 %).

Statistical analysis of the results obtained from the value ρ = 0.000 <α = 0.05 means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, it means there is a significant effect between the Effects of Therapeutic Activity Group stimulation perception by playing snakes and ladders to decrease the frequency of hallucinations in space Glatik Mental Hospital Menur Surabaya.

Conclusion: Given this research is expected to enable staff to use this medium as a nursing intervention to lower the frequency of hallucinations
